AUTHOR & FOUNDER:
Guillermo Chavez Angeles
State Farm Agent | Entrepreneur | Real Estate Investor | Community Leader
Guillermo Chavez-Angeles actively lives out the motto, “The more good you put into the world, the more you get back.” He brings his care and concern for the community into his daily role as a successful State Farm Agent, entrepreneur, real estate investor, and community leader. He finds great reward in helping provide customers the security and protection they need through State Farm insurance as he establishes long-term relationships with clients to grow together for a bright future…
Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Guillermo is deeply grateful to his parents for their sacrifices to provide a new life in the United States for himself and his three sisters. In 2001, he began his professional journey in the mortgage industry, where he helped individuals and families achieve homeownership for almost a decade. Guillermo’s entrepreneurial spirit truly activated when the recession hit. Instead of succumbing to the challenge, he met it head-on, entering the real estate market to assist homebuyers in finding the solutions they needed.
However, in 2014, Guillermo embraced an opportunity to become an agent with State Farm, an established and respected brand with core values that resonated with his own. His business acumen led to his successful enterprise today, with a dedicated team of 12 associates across two locations (Elk Grove Village and Niles, Illinois). State Farm recognized his commitment to excellence and impact in the industry with their prestigious Chairman’s Circle and Ambassador Travel recognitions for achievers in the top 10% of the company.
Guillermo gives back to his real estate and Hispanic community as a dedicated leader in the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), the largest Latino business organization in the U.S. He served as President of the DuPage chapter in 2021. NAHREP focuses on educating, empowering, and closing the wealth gap through affordable homeownership within the Hispanic community and also promotes political action to ensure representation on the community level.
Guillermo’s commitment to lifelong learning is key to his success in working with others and growing professionally. He is an avid reader of books by Miguel Ruiz, Darren Hardy, and Ed Mylett and a subscriber to self-development podcasts. His greatest joy comes from traveling and spending time with his family while knowing that his work makes a difference for the people he serves.
